Emily Dorrien

As a Personal Trainer, Group Class Instructor and Fitness Manager, my goal is to coach others into living a healthy lifestyle through education, physical fitness and proper nutrition!

I have always had a passion for fitness, although my previous profession was in Photography, I've always made time to attend group fitness classes, go for a run or practice yoga. Since I was young I was involved in team sports such as Soccer, Tennis & Volleyball. I studied Classical Ballet for about 8 years under the Royal Academy of Dance, and I incorporate this core discipline in my style of training.

I received my certification through the intensive hands on training at National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) in San Francisco. While attending NPTI I also went through additional training in Kettlebell Basics, Assisted Stretching and received a certification in Mat Pilates & CPR/AED.

Staying active isn’t all you need to lead a healthy lifestyle, diet and nutrition also play an integral role in reaching your individual fitness goals. I have taken several courses in nutrition and I am working on receiving a certificate in fitness nutrition and can give guidance for weight loss, weight/muscle gain or simply eating for health.

I recently moved to the Bay Area from The East Coast, where I enjoy hiking the mountains, trail running & walking my dogs on the beach. Staying active outdoors is one of my favorite things! Fitness can be so much fun, let me show you how!
